Mt Warning Rainforest Park is nestled in the rainforest at the foot of the World Heritage Listed Mt Warning National Park, and is only an hours’ drive from the world famous beaches of the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.
EXPLORE WORLD FAMOUS BEACHES
With great surfing and miles of coastline to explore, it’s little wonder the ocean is synonymous with Byron Bay and the Tweed Coast culture. A visit to Main Beach, Belongil Beach, Wategos and Tallow Beach are a must for all visitors.
Surfers worldwide come to The Wreck which is located just north of the seawall and Main Beach carpark at Byron Bay. The break is named after the shipwreck of SS Wollongbar which created sandbanks and great swell.
Head further north up the Tweed Coast all the way to the Gold Coast for your choice of uncrowded beaches including Kingscliff, Cabarita, Casuarina and Pottsville.

TAKE A DIP IN A TEA TREE LAKE
A visit to Lake Ainsworth, a tea-tree stained dunal lake, is a must where you can swim between the salty ocean and the fresh water lake. It’s also great for SUP, kayaking and canoeing. Facilities include walking paths, BBQs and picnic tables.
CAPE BYRON MARINE PARK
Covering an enormous 22,000 hectares, Cape Byron Marine Park extends in the north from Brunswick Heads to Lennox Head in the south. Snorkel or scuba dive and discover a range of marine habitats where you’re likely to see dolphins, many fish species and seabirds. If you’re lucky you’ll hopefully see the endangered grey nurse shark and sea turtles.
MINYON FALLS AND LOOKOUT
Escape to nature and hike to the spectacular Minyon Falls where there is a natural pool perfect for a lingering swim. From here you can join other walking tracks and head deeper into the beautiful shady gorge. From Minyon Falls Lookout you’ll have a great view of the area and can watch the cascading waterfall from above.
